Some interesting facts about women in construction:

  • Just 14% of Irish companies have women leaders. – (Source: Report commissioned by the 30% Club)
  • Women represented 52.2% of all third-level graduates in Ireland in 2016. – (Source:CSO)
  • 112,000 additional employees are needed to meet the demand of the Irish construction industry by 2020. – (Source: DKM report)

Studies found that teams managed by a balanced mix of men and women were more successful across a wide range of outcomes. For example, teams with a balance of men and women achieved 14 percentage points higher employee engagement. – (Source: Sodexo Gender Balance Study)
