PGA Pro, David Higgins is driven, talented and exceeds expectations making him the perfect ambassador for mac on the golf course. Winning two titles in one month, this guy also works fast!
Higgins persevered in testing weather conditions earlier this May at Dromoland Castle to emerge as Irish Club Pro champion retaining his title from the previous year. Building on this success, Higgins achieved his second title at the Pro Am event in Roganstown in aid of Crumlin Childrens Hospital. Commenting on these wins, Higgins says “I am delighted to get 2017 off to a good start. I worked very hard on my game during the off season and it is nice to see that work paying off.”
Always moving towards the next challenge, David has his sights set on the PGA Order of Merit title, on defending his GB&I PGA Pro championship and performing well at the Irish Open at Portstewart.
Higgins has been in partnership with mac through the significant growth and developments that have taken place over the last few years and both parties have evolved together with David’s sportwear reflecting the changes of our image.
“The week before my first win in Ireland Mac and I travelled to Scotland for Sean Dillon’s testimonial game. I hadn’t played very much competitive golf up to this point in the season so the two rounds we played over there were a good test for me. I played lovely golf, brought that game back to Ireland and had two big wins in a row.
It’s great to be playing well heading into this busy spell of tournaments. Lets hope I can lift many more trophies and keep the mac flag flying high!”
