Wells Fargo stages an expansion

07.02.2014

The sheeting February rain does not diminish the view from the 6th floor of Harbourmaster Place.  From this perch you can observe the figure of Commerce resting on her anchor atop the Customs House, and the languid flow of the Liffey as it makes its way towards Dublin Bay.

Wells Fargo & Company is an American multinational banking and financial services holding company with operations around the world.  Their continued success has led to staff expansions and a necessity for more space in their IFSC offices in Dublin.  The new floor in Harbourmaster Place provides a workspace for 25 newly hired people, and mac-interiors are honoured to have won the contract for the fit out.  Solid cherry wood doors in the original space were in excellent condition and were retained, and therefore informed the tone of the interior design.  A neutrally textured Interface carpet and hazelnut veneer on the Milner desktops combine to set a gentle backdrop to the unapologetic red of the desktop screens – a natural hat tip to the Wells Fargo brand.

In the breakout area a soft green Buzzyfelt acoustic wall covering dampens the sounds of break time chatter and coffee cups while offering a soft textile element.  The overall effect is one of a hardworking space with bright, fun accents and an overall sense of the history of the Wells Fargo brand.  Louise Ward, Property and Facilities Manager was openly impressed with the end result from her chosen Main Contractor, saying “mac-interiors is the best builder I ever worked with in twenty years’ experience”.  High praise indeed.
