At mac-interiors we never take our success for granted. We have a relationship with Barretstown now for 3 years as part of our giving back philosophy, and our golf event on September 14th is the 3rd event we have held on their behalf. We were very impressed with our clients, consultants and suppliers who came out in force to support our cause.
The format had been tried and tested two years ago, so we stayed with a 3-ball scramble with yellow ball competition. The rain cleared just before the 2pm shotgun start and stayed off for most of the play. PGA Pro David Higgins was in attendance on the 10th for the Beat the Pro competition. David was full of helpful tips on how to get a hole in 1 on a Par 3! Despite the fact that nobody was lucky enough to win the car, a very high standard of golf was played, and the atmosphere was one of friendly competition.
After the play we convened to the clubhouse for a well-deserved dinner for all the players and some guests. Digicom, System Video and William Farrell’s teams came in first, second and third places respectively, and the prize-giving was followed by a raffle and a very entertaining Heads and Tails competition where everyone gave very generously.
We are overwhelmed by the kindness of all who attended as we raised €40,000 in total. Every cent of that goes directly to Barretstown. The day was a great success, great craic was had, and all for an excellent cause.
