Sheldon Retail Park Development

Project Overview

Design and construction of Sheldon Retail Park development comprised of 27,000 sq.ft. non-food retail and 18,000 sq.ft. gym. 

The retail park is located in Sheldon, a district centre within the Birmingham conurbation. The retail park benefits from being situated on the A45 Coventry Road.

This project included:

  • New build retail units
  • External service yard areas
  • Car parking
  • Drainage
  • External lighting
  • Hard and soft landscaping works
  • Main incoming services

Extensive groundworks were carried out which included ground remediation, external drainage and floor slab. A retaining wall was installed adjacent to private dwellings at the rear of the site. A steel frame was erected and precast concrete stairs and lifts were installed along with concrete mezzanine upper floors. Internal blockwork and plasterboard partitions were installed to house offices, meeting space and wc’s.

Externally the facade and roof is a mix of horizontal, vertical and feature cladding and curtain walling. A contnuous glass canopy was installed to create a colonnade to the retail entrances.
The scheme included external service yard areas, car parking, drainage, external lighting, hard and soft landscaping works and main incoming services.
