Project Overview

To accommodate additional personnel and to satisfy the projected future growth within the organisation, expansion of the current office facilities at Uxbridge was needed. This prestigious CAT B Fit out of 85,000 sq. ft. of office space was located within 2 adjacent buildings at Uxbridge Business Park.

The programme of works included the fit out of 26,000 sq. ft. of new office space in the adjacent building and a scheme to enhance the newly constructed link bridge between the existing and acquired space to create a communal coffee bar connecting and encouraging employee interaction.

Existing space was also enhanced to provide a consistent and holistic office environment across the site and to align with new global office standards.  A complete remodel of the Ground Floor enabled the increase in size of the restaurant to support additional headcount and create a new industrial inspired gym and changing facilities. Across the site ‘neighbourhood’ working practices are being adopted to promote agile and flexible working and a variety of different styles of work setting have been introduced to support individual and collaborative working.

Building 2 works comprised:

Substantial refurbishment of the ground floor including full strip out and replacement of:-

• Existing gym
• Changing rooms
• Restaurant and catering facilities
• Remodeling and associated adaptations on levels 1 & 2
• WC refurbishment and reception area refresh

Building 3 works comprised:

• Strip out and CAT B fit out on level 2
• CAT B fit out of the new link bridge and new canteen and catering facilities

Mechanical & Electrical Scope:

• Partial strip out of existing FCUs
• Modifications and adaptations to existing heating, cooling and ventilation systems
• Provision of new FCUs
• Modifications to sprinkler system, hot & cold water systems, drainage
• Modifications to the BMS
• Alterations and modifications to existing systems
• General, feature and emergency lighting installations
