Royal College of Surgeons Ireland, Ardilaun House

 

Project Overview

CAT A building upgrade of 6 floors initially for landlord and Cat B project for the new tenant at Block C, Ardilaun House. Project was also BCAR.

 

Scope of works involved:

  • M&E upgrade works throughout with the installation of 2 new comms rooms and create new fibre duct to the roadside
  • Installation of 2 new lifts
  • Complete toilet restack to all floors
  • Induction of shower rooms on the ground floor which involved civil works brought into the building to facilitate
  • New lift lobbies
  • Installation of wall & floor finishes throughout along with new brick slip feature walls

Key challenges included adapting Cat A works to incorporate Cat B works during construction phase which involved a vast amount of design changes during the project, tight BCAR deadline, creation of a number of new risers to incorporate all the new Mechanical AHU plant to the roof.  – St.Stephen’s Green
