The Environmental Sustainable Warehouse – Vernon Park, Vernon 122

09.11.2022

#TEAMmac are delighted to announce we have been appointed, on behalf of Staffordshire Pension Fund, to build, Vernon 122 – a high-profile, warehouse/industrial development totalling 122,575 sq. ft. (11,388 sqm) at Vernon Park, Wolverhampton on the Wolverhampton/South Staffordshire border.

The unit at Vernon Park will include flexible ancillary offices, rainwater harvesting for water consumption, 12 loading bays, covered cycle storage for 38 bicycles, as well as 143 car parking spaces, EV charging points, and landscaping. Environmental sustainability and well-being features are at the heart of the design and the development will be BREEAM Excellent and enabled for carbon neutral operation.

Ray O’Sullivan, country director, mac-group said: “We’re pleased to be starting work on this warehouse unit, which has sustainability at the core of its design.

“Vernon Park is a strategically located business park, right next to the motorway network and this unit promises to be a high-quality building with features that modern businesses demand.”

South Staffordshire Council granted planning permission earlier this year for the development, which is earmarked for storage and distribution, and manufacturing. This is the last remaining plot for phase one of Vernon Park. Works are scheduled to begin later this month, with an expected completion date of Q3 2023.
