Tiglin

Tiglin is a charity dedicated to providing front-line support to people trapped in a cycle of homelessness and addiction. mac has helped reinvigorate Tiglin’s residential centres by providing stripped-out materials like furniture, fittings and IT equipment.

Through this we are ensuring a ‘closed loop’ cycle for our materials and pursuing the Triple Bottom Line: People, Planet and Profit.

Considerate Constructors

mac are proud to have two sites certified by the scheme: River House, Belfast and Mountpark Logistics, Dublin. The Mountpark Logistics project has achieved a high score that puts it in the top 5% of 10,000 site visits across Ireland and the UK. The award is a result of the fantastic work done by the project team during Phase 1 of the project. These prestigious Awards are only presented to the highest performing sites inspected by the CCS Monitors. On the first Audit we scored 44/50 and on the second audit we scored 45/50. These results are in the top 5% of over 10,000 audits carried out by the Scheme in 2018.

The Considerate Constructors Scheme was established to encourage best practice and performance beyond compliance. The CCS contends that if all construction sites and contractors presented an image of competent management, efficiency, awareness of environmental issues and above all neighbourliness, then they would become a positive advertisement, not just for themselves but for the industry as a whole.

Histio UK

mac UK are proud to support the work of the charity Histiocytosis UK Despite the misery it causes, histiocytosis is too rare a disease to have generated substantial research in medical circles.

Unfortunately, for every child or adult fighting for his or her life, the pain and suffering are just as severe for children and adults afflicted with other better-known disorders receiving funding.

For the children and adults battling these illnesses, there is now reason to hope and their research programmes provide a beacon of hope for the many children and adults battling Histiocytosis, to ensure this research continues we are pleased to pledge our support.

Dragons At The Docks

Dragons at the Docks is an annual charity fundraiser organised by the Irish Property Industry to aid the Dublin Simon Community. Through this crucial event, the Simon Community have already changed the lives of 15 people experiencing homelessness forever, providing them with a home of their own with funds raised at 2019’s event, they will acquire 10 more homes, to increase that to a total of 21 apartments/houses acquired and a minimum of 25 people provided with permanent, safe homes as a direct result of the Dragons at the Docks.

Leap on Your Bike

Leap On Your Bike is a charity fundraising cycle that is now in its fourth year. It is a locally run cycle that aims to raise money for local charities. TEAMmac cycle from Annascaul Co. Kerry to Leixlip Co. Kildare.

Climb For Caudwell

This event was organised by mac-group and Castleforge Partners to raise money to support the work of Caudwell charity.

The event takes place from 22nd-24th September and will pitch teams against each other in a time trial to race up 235 steps.
