The Great Hall – Swansea University

The Great Hall Swansea University

Project Overview

The Great Hall Swansea University was a Cat B Design & Build fit out of the university’s auditorium (NR 16 acoustic rated) including a 250 seat restaurant over 36,000 sq. ft. Specialist designers were commissioned to ensure that the auditorium’s layout, technical and acoustic design met the high specification required to provide near perfect acoustic qualities. The variable acoustic system allows for modification of the room so that it is appropriate for both orchestral acoustic music and amplified events. This project was awarded a BREEAM Very Good rating.

The Great Hall on the Swansea Bay Campus is a multi-purpose cultural arts venue for the University and wider community, comprising a 700 seat auditorium, state-of-the-art lecture theatres, meeting rooms and a delightful café bar which offers spectacular views right across Swansea Bay.
