Client: Tecnomar S.p.a.
Location: Portofino (Genova)
Type of project: Production
The splendid setting of Portofino was the stage the MAC Group chose for the presentation event created for Tecnomar's NADARA 43, linking it to an exhibition of the works of the young Giorgetto Giugiaro. This parallel between an artistic journey and Tecnomar's quest for stylistic innovation forefronted the combination of creativity and entrepreneurial energy that has always distinguished the company in an event attended by press and customers.
Project goals:
- Present the new NADARA 43, the world's largest three-deck superyacht with a planing hull - an outstanding technological and design achievement able to propel 43 meters of elegant luxury on 3 decks at a top speed of 30 knots.
- Present Tecnomar's new corporate and management structure, which brings together a pool of professionals with diverse yet complementary experience, able to successfully increase turnover within a matter of months notwithstanding the difficult economic situation.
Alongside the NADARA 43, two equally distinctive Tecnomar creations were displayed: the sinuous VELVET 36 and VELVET 27 open motor yachts. All three Tecnomar superyachts can be fully customized to meet the owner's tastes and needs. "Future projects already at the design stage," announced Tecnomar's Chairman and CEO Giovanni Costantino, the new majority shareholder since January 2009, "include a 55m maxi yacht with a planing hull and a 34m displacement-hull motor yacht. Both will benefit from the renowned and much-acclaimed creativity of Giorgetto Giugiaro".
Just as the yachts are exclusive unique creations, so too are the works of Giorgetto Giugiaro, which were displayed in the quayside exhibition "Portraits and Paintings of Youth", revealing a lesser-known side of the famous designer.
The Tecnomar event proved to be a perfect mix of different art forms, from entrepreneurial vision to the stylistic and structural ingenuity of yacht design through to the noble art of painting. The Portofino meeting was likewise the perfect arena to present Tecnomar's corporate identity, showing that true art can also be found in the creative ability to combine passion, know-how, long-term vision and enthusiasm.
