The MAC Group has signed a Presenting Sponsorship agreement for uniques special ones with Meissen, the manufacturer famous throughout the world for its unique porcelain: the agreement has been signed thanks to the collaboration of Monty Shadow, world renowned photographer and today considered the 'Guru of Luxury' as well as a promoter of major international events. "I would like to thank my friend Monty Shadow for having believed in our project and for having involved Meissen in this special event", Sandro Binelli, President of the MAC Group recently told the press conference at which the project was presented.
Meissen, one of the principal producers of porcelain by type and technique of creation, has a history extending back three centuries: in fact, this year the company is celebrating its 300 years of activity, having begun to develop and distribute its creations in the marketplace at the beginning of the 18th century. Meissen will display a number of its works in uniques special ones against the evocative backdrop of the Palazzo della Gherardesca of Florence which, from 24th - 27th September will be reserved exclusively for the event. "I would like to thank Inge Ascheri-Grandi, Vice-President, and Christian Kurtzke, CEO of Meissen, for having believed in our event and for being contributors of unique content to it and not just an ordinary partner", continued Binelli. The porcelain created in the laboratories at Albrechtsburg, Germany, initially privileged white and red and was inspired by Chinese and Japanese works, but over time Meissen was able to adapt itself to the needs of the market without ever losing its distinctive character: the development of new techniques of colour and innovative shapes for vases and containers then became models for the production of porcelain in Europe.
