The MAC Group is committed to industry-leading ecological sustainability practices in its daily operations, convinced that social and environmental responsibility bring added value to all our stakeholders. This is moreover an approach that the market is increasingly adopting out of a steadily-growing sense of responsibility to future generations.
Promoting automotive events makes the MAC Group particularly alert to embracing sustainability as an essential value, making it a plus - a value that speaks to the benefit of us all. The MAC Group officially inaugurated this policy with the Coppa Milano-Sanremo 2009, the first regular car race that's signed up to LIfeGate's Impatto Zero® project for stimulating a culture of ecological awareness and spreading a model of sustainable development.
The MAC Group has contributed to creating 51,700 sq. m of growing forest in Costa Rica to offset the 268,816 kg CO2 produced by the Coppa Milano-Sanremo 2009 according to LifeGate's calculations. The ecological behavior encouraged in staff and participants alike ranges from reducing waste, saving energy and using recyclable materials to promoting active lifestyles that respect the environment. The MAC Group is committed to contributing to the spread of eco-compatible thinking through every future event, in line with LifeGate's guidelines.
What's more, the MAC Group has created the MAC Green Team to bring companies and institutions alongside us in our "eco-communications", developing and deploying innovative and effective new ways of communicating about the environment with the general public and selected targets to:
- circulate messages and information
- build interactive relationships
- stimulate ecologically-sustainable patterns of behavior
- develop and manage environmental edutainment programs.
